Child and Adult Care Food Program
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded nutrition assistance program that helps non-residential child care and adult care facilities, afterschool programs and emergency shelters provide nutritious meals and snacks to enrolled participants.
Child care facilities that participate in the ABC Child Care program are required to provide meals and snacks that meet CACFP requirements. CACFP provides financial assistance (reimbursement), training and other resources to participating organizations to help ensure requirements are met.
